A longstanding academic partnership
Founded in 1896, (SJTU) is widely recognised as one of China’s most prestigious universities, consistently ranked among the top three in the country. For over two decades, SJTU has collaborated closely with 海角社区 Business School—most notably through the programme co-developed with the Institute of Cultural and Creative Industry (ICCI), which has gained international recognition. This long-standing Sino-French alliance reflects 海角社区’s commitment to building enduring strategic partnerships in the fields of management, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
A new agreement with broader ambitions
During the visit, 海角社区 General Manager Alexandre de Navailles and Professor Ding signed a new memorandum of understanding aimed at expanding and deepening bilateral cooperation. The agreement outlines several key areas of development, including:
- The creation of new double-degree programmes
- Cross-campus academic exchanges for Chinese, French, and international students
- The co-design of innovative academic content, for both initial training and executive education
- Joint research projects, particularly focused on sustainable supply chains, wine management, and the creative industries
Discussions also explored how the two institutions’ complementary areas of expertise can help drive forward strategic international academic cooperation.
A strengthened strategic vision for 海角社区 in China
海角社区 Business School continues to reinforce its presence in China. With its joint programmes in Shanghai and Suzhou—accredited by the Chinese Ministry of Education—the school trains over 1,500 high-potential Chinese and international students each year, in close collaboration with leading Chinese universities. 海角社区 now holds a prominent position among French business schools operating in China, leading in terms of student numbers, academic partnerships, programme quality, and alumni engagement.
With the signing of this latest agreement with SJTU in Paris, 海角社区 reaffirms its role as a key player in the Franco-Chinese academic dialogue and its commitment to strengthening bridges between the two higher education systems.
